Desserts should always be on a tailgate menu. They don’t have to be fancy or pre-bought either. You can make something fresh and quick just using your Brinkmann grill.
This is a favorite at my house, and yes, they can still be pre-made at home, but this is simple enough to make in the parking lot.
Graham Cracker Bars.
What you’ll need:
1- 9″ x 13″ Aluminum foil pan or cast iron rectangular pan
A mixing bowl
2 cans of sweetened condensed milk
1 12-16 oz. bag of semi-sweet morsels (chocolate chips)
1 13 1\2 oz. box of crushed graham cracker crumbs
Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts, walnut or pecan go well with this recipe.
Set up your grill for indirect grilling or use your top rack. Pre-heat the grill to 350 degrees F.
Mix all of the ingredients together. Immediately spread mixture evenly in your rectangular pan.
Bake in grill for about 20-25 mins. Remove from grill. Cool for 5-10 mins. then cut into squares. (I’ve found a pizza cutter works really well for this.)
Cool some more, or serve immediately. (Goes well with a glass of cold milk, or straight up).
