Getting My Fried Food Fix

Growing up in the Deep South, I have acquired an infatuation for fried foods of all stripes. Whether it’s traditional fried chick or a succulent fried banana, in my opinion, all foods are better fried. When I moved up North, I found that few establishments were able to recreate the delectable fried cuisine that I had grown so accustomed to.

Not one to go without my deep fried fare, I went out and invested in a Presto CoolDaddy deep fryer. Then I called all of my family and friends from back home and asked them to send me their favorite deep fried recipes. Now I have a cookbook brimming with exquisite recipes, and every time I have a longing for some down-home cooking, I simply fire up the deep fryer.
