Beer & Chipotle Fish Tacos from your Deep Fryer

1 1\2 lbs white fish fillets(cod,grouper,etc)cut into thin strips

1 12 oz. bottle of pale ale

1\2 c yellow corm meal

1 tsp chipotle chile powder,or more to taste

1\2 tsp salt

2 Tbsp olive oil

8 (6″) soft white corn tortillas

1 1\2 c shredded cabbage.

Lime juice,chopped fresh tomatoes,cilantro,salsa & sour cream(optional)

Soak fish in beer in a large,shallow dish at least 15 minutes.

In a separate bowl,combine corn meal,chipotle chile powder & salt.Dredge fish in cornmeal mixture.

Heat oil in your deep fryer. Cook fish about 3 mins. on each side or until golden brown.

To assemble,place 1 piece of fish each in warmed tortilla with cabbage: drizzle with lime juice and top with tomatoes,cilantro,salsa & sour cream.
