Deep Fried Strawberries

30-40 fresh and large strawberries

2 cups of flour

1/4 tsp. Salt

1/4 tsp. Sugar

1 1/2 cups of beer

5 egg whites

cream of tartar

cooking oil (Peanut)

powdered sugar

Directions:

Wash, dry and hull strawberries

Heat oil to 375 F

In a bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and 1/4 tsp. of sugar and salt

Add 1 1/2 cup of beer and beat the mixture until smooth

In another bowl beat 5 egg whites with a pinch of cream of tartar stiff

Fold egg whites into beer batter gently, but thoroughly

Dip strawberries into batter and place in deep fryer a few at a time, (1-2 minutes or until golden brown)

Drain on a plate lined with paper towels

Roll strawberries in powdered sugar
